KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 27 (Bernama) -- World number eight Padraig Harrington of Ireland is the latest big-name player to sign up for the US$1.1 million (RM4.18 million) Carlsberg Malaysian Open at The Mines Resort and Golf Club on Feb 20-23.

The European Ryder Cup star, who recently beat world number one Tiger Woods in the Target World Challenge, is the second top-10 player in the world to commit to Asia's richest national Open.

Next year's Malaysian Open, which is owned by the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA), will be jointly sanctioned by the European Tour and Asian PGA Tour for the fifth consecutive …
