A former corporate financial controller who swapped the streets of Central for war-ravaged north Africa has urged Hongkongers to follow in her footsteps and take on volunteer work abroad.
Carmen Lee Kar-man said that nine months helping rebuild troubled Sudan with international doctors' group Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) had changed her perspective on life. Ms Lee was in charge of finances for a medical aid mission to Sudan's south, but based in north Kenya.
