The English poet John Keats once wrote that we should not be discouraged by a failure because it can be a positive experience. According to Keats, failure is, in a sense, the highway to success, and as we travel it, we learn from our mistakes.

Not that NHL general managers look to Keats for sage advice, but no club challenging for the Stanley Cup would ever enter the playoffs without an experienced goaltender. And, in the Keats vein, you need to experience a playoff failure or two before you ride that highway to Lord Stanley's Silver Mug, right?
