Nebraska's spring game has just ended. It's time for quarterbacks coach Turner Gill and head coach Frank Solich to account for what I spied from my vantage point perched high in Memorial Stadium: an offense in trouble.

Question: Can Jammal Lord successfully take over for Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch?

Gill: "I like the way he's handled himself in the huddle, approached the players, gotten them lined up and taken control. He also has thrown well. Those things have stood out for me. But we really won't know how good he is until he has a few games under his belt."
