AFTER ANOTHER year of sluggish, stop-and-go growth, is the motoring industry still hoping for the best next year?

Quite expectedly, the answer is still a resounding yes although majority of automotive companies here in the Philippines are only expecting modest improvement in 2003.

"If there's an upturn we don't expect it to be quick or sharp. I believe the recovery will still be slow but at least there will be movement," said Porti Vencer, national marketing manager of Norkis Automotive Resources Corp.
