fnWEB - Bangkok - November 21, 2002 - Thai Oil Co., Ltd. is offering facilities at its refinery in Sri Racha, Chonburi as an alternative location for two coal-fired power plants in Bo Nok and Hin Krut, both of which have encountered strong local opposition on grounds of environmental impact.

Thai Oil's refinery complex has sufficient capacity to absorb the proposed plants, and has the infrastructure in place as it currently operates two small power projects at its Sri Racha complex, Thai Oil President Chulchit Bunyaketu said Thursday (November 21).
