Enact Pharma plc, the market driven biopharmaceutical company, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of De Montfort Biopharma Ltd (DMB), the Leicestershire biopharmaceutical company. Enact Pharma (Enact), has acquired DMB for an initial consideration of GBP0.5M satisfied by the issue of 1 million new Enact shares at an agreed value of 50p per share as approved at its EGM on 23rd July 2002.

DMB, founded in April 2001, specialises in Yeast based Apoptosis inhibitors System (YAS), a unique technology platform which identifies the genes and proteins that cause both cancers and degenerative brain diseases like Alzheimer's. Unlike most other platforms,…
