Choice voice `The fact that MLB does not test players for performance-enhancing drugs seems ludicrous. I have about had it with baseball and its obvious ineptitude. I wonder what the Babe would have thought about baseball in 2002.'--Aaro, Branch, Aquebogue, N.Y.
In the Army now
I was really impressed with Cardinals safety Pat Tillman's decision to forgo his million-dollar career in football to join the U.S. Army (TSN, June 3). Many Americans were profoundly affected by the events of September 11, and he acted on his feelings. That shows a lot of integrity.
Tillman should be the subject of a cover story to show what true heroism is about: giving oneself for the greater good of the country.
What a contrast that would be from the spoiled, overpaid and selfish athletes who normally grace the covers of sports magazines.

* Bravo to Pat Tillman! I commend his decision not only to unselfishly serve his country in its time of need but also for trying out for one of the toughest elite forces in the U.S. military. I guarantee that the NFL is kindergarten compared to Ranger training ... but at least his physical fitness will help him.
