Leave it to the crew chiefs to come up with a surprise finish: Rookie Matt Borland upset Winston Cup champion chief Greg Zipadelli by one vote.

"It's an honor to be rewarded by all of your peers," says Borland, 31. "I can't believe how everyone has welcomed me into the garage."

Many people think Zipadelli deserves an award for keeping driver Tony Stewart on track, and there's no doubting that.
