(Nasdaq: ORCL), the world's largest enterprise software company, today announced immediate availability of the Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition, a pre-configured, pre-installed package of ERP applications designed specifically for European companies with 100-500 employees, or a turnover of [euro]20m - [euro]250m. At the same time, Oracle announced the first live customer for the Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition, Swiss biotech company Modex Therapeutics. The new package, which comprises the financial accounting, sales order management, inventory management and purchasing modules of the Oracle E-Business Suite, is designed to meet the needs of mid-market organisations by means of its affordability and speed of implementation. Available exclusively from participating Oracle partners, the Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition comes pre-installed and pre-configured on a hardware server, and is ready for the customer to use upon its arrival.
