Korea's ailing Hynix Semiconductor sold its thin film transistor-liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) business unit to BOE Technology Group of China at about US$380 million, a company spokesman announced Tuesday.

BOE Technology hans concluded a formal contract with Hynix for acquisition of HYDIS, the TFT-LCD manufacturing company.
