Niche market EFFICIENCY FOCUS Utility makes a contribution to sustainable development Eskom directly supplies electricity to about 45000 commercial, 4000 industrial, 75000 agricultural and 3m residential customers, with thousands of other consumers being supplied by one of 235 municipalities. In an acknowledgment of the different needs of these consumers, Eskom developed four branded advisory services that focus on specific segments in the market. Elektroserve, set up in 1994, is Eskom's energy advisory service for the commercial and service sectors. Elektroserve's main aim is to educate and advise commercial customers on the efficient and effective use of energy and specifically electricity in their business.

The other Eskom brands are Agrelek for the agricultural sector; Industrelek for industry and Elektrowise for household consumers. …
