Tayside Nhs Welcomes New Chief Executive To Its Team.

Professor Tony Wells has been appointed to the post of chief executive of Tayside NHS Board.

Prof Wells, 51, was seconded to the chief executive's post of NHS Tayside from Tayside Primary Care Trust in November, 2001. The permanent post was advertised earlier this year and applications invited from throughout the UK.

NHS Tayside said Prof Wells emerged as the successful candidate following a rigorous selection process and interviews which concluded last week.
