WHAT THE TEAM LEARNED: Stewart learned the value of friendship as his crew supported trim through his trials on and off the racetrack. The team faced plenty of adversity this season, including six DNFs. Starting with an engine failure on the second lap of the Daytona 500, Stewart's team identified each weakness and took the necessary steps to correct it. Joe Gibbs Racing made significant gains ha horsepower, which enabled Stewart to qualify better, take the lead in 17 races and post 15 top fives, more than anyone else. Superspeedway improvements helped lift the team.
