Have you seen the ad campaign that uses the slogan "Dodge Different"? Well, the only thing different about Dodge in Winston Cup is this: Its, the only manufacturer that didn't put a driver in the top 10 in the final points standings.

True, if Dodge driver Sterling Marlin had not sustained a season-ending injury at Kansas City, he likely would have battled Tony Stewart and Mark Martin to the end. We shouldn't forget that Marlin led the standings for 25 weeks. But his success concealed a world of Dodge ills.
