Barely two days after confirming his interest to occupy the Presidential villa in the next electoral dispensation, former vice-president, Alex Ekwueme, yesterday met with the incumbent, President Olusegun Obasanjo, for a close-door parley that lasted for 50 minutes.

Ekwueme had last Sunday [1 December] in Minna, Niger State, declared his presidential ambition on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
