By understanding and taking an active role in the six separate steps in negotiating a new job, women can do as well as men in the job market. This final part discusses negotiating your salary and wrapping up the deal.

Most experts recommend keeping salary negotiations separate from all other considerations. Salary can be negotiated first or last, depending on the situation, employer preference or the school's common practice.
