Following six weeks of almost daily student protests and a faculty vote of no confidence, the president of the small Gardner-Webb University NC finally resigned. President M. Christopher White had admitted changing the grade of a star athlete two years ago to keep him eligible to play, yet the school's board of trustees affirmed his presidency and demoted two administrators who criticized the grade change.
