Jakarta, Dec 1 (ANTARA) - The Office of the State Minister of Culture and Tourism planned to open representative offices in Japan, Australia and in a European country, a spokesman for the ministry said.
"The government will stop opening Indonesian Tourism Promotion offices abroad," head of the Culture and Tourism Development Board Setyanto P. Santosa said here on Sunday.
According to him, before the economic crisis hit Indonesia in 1997, the office of the state minister of Culture and Tourism opened tourism promotion offices in several countries including England, Japan, Australia and France.
