Bengkulu, Dec 1 (ANTARA) - Indonesia along with Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar and Vietnam controlled some 75 percent of the world's rubber output.
"We will continue boosting our rubber production and the planting of high-quality rubber seedlings such as the result of cloning from the latex research centre in four areas in Indonesia," general chairman of the Indonesian Rubber Producers Association (Gabkindo) H. Asril Sutan Amir said here over the weekend.
According to Asril Sutan Amir, owner of the rubber mill PT. Bengkulu Batanghari Pratama (BBP), rubber is one of Indonesia's leading export commodities now and in the future, and contributed a great deal of foreign exchange revenue to the state's coffers.
