The business section of the South China Morning Post is being relaunched on Monday to give greater emphasis to the coverage of companies and markets news.

The two business sections will be merged to reinforce the newspaper's role as the publisher of Asia's most comprehensive English-language business news section.

An expanded network of mainland correspondents will ensure the most thorough coverage of China business stories and analysis. In particular, writers will concentrate on developments in the Pearl River Delta and how they affect Hong Kong business and the economy.
