The shekel was flat against the dollar in derivatives trading this morning, as investors saw little effect from Thursday's terror attacks and continued support from high domestic interest rates.

At web-posting, the shekel stood at NIS 4.653/$ in derivatives trading, a 0.2% depreciation since Friday's representative rate of NIS 4.643/$.

In a report released to investors this morning, local broker Easy Forex said, "The shekel has been on a strengthening trend against the dollar for two weeks, with most of the credit for that falling to the spread between interest rates on the two currencies." …
