TOKYO, Dec 2 Asia Pulse - Travel agencies are reporting an increase in reservations for travel over the New Year's holiday.
With work scheduled to resume January 6, giving some employees as many as nine consecutive days off, travel agencies are aggressively marketing packages geared toward this schedule.
Although Thursday's terrorist attack in Kenya is cause for concern, JTB Corp. and others report that so far there have been few cancellations.
One industry source notes that few Japanese travel to the Middle East and Africa, so there has not been any major upset.
