SEOUL, Dec 2 Asia Pulse - The Ministry of Health and Welfare has decided to increase national medical insurance premiums by 8.5 per cent next year, the ministry said.

The decision was made at a medical insurance policy committee meeting held at the ministry Friday.

The ratio of insurance premiums to income for wage earners will therefore expand to 3.94 per cent in 2003 from the current 3.63 per cent.
