CANBERRA, Dec 2 Asia Pulse - The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) said today wheat production in NSW will be down almost 75 per cent this year because of the drought.
The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) said in its latest crop forecast just 2.1 million tonnes of wheat would be harvested in NSW.
NSW is traditionally the second largest wheat producing state after Western Australia.
ABARE said the nation's total wheat production would be 10.0 million tonnes, a 130,000 million tonne decrease since its last forecast at the end of October.
