The season is now half over. Or, to put a new spin on an old adage, half begun--depending on your point of View.

What do we know now that we didn't know two months ago? Surprisingly little, actually. The Patriots were doubted, then touted, then fell to Earth. The Steelers must have bought tickets for a similar roller-coaster ride. And the Rams? Don't get me started.

All of this uncertainty leaves fantasy owners nearly clueless about individual players. Isaac Bruce, Travis Henry, Shaun Alexander, Daunte Culpepper, Randy McMichael and Peerless Price are just a handful of the shockers--good and bad--this season. The result: Matchups, the only comfort in this cold, cruel league, are more important than ever.
