Breast cancer deaths higher for Black women.(Brief article)
RESEARCHERS HAVE NOW EXAMINED RACE, socioeconomic status and patient survival in 20 breast cancer studies and found that Black women are 19 percent more likely to die from breast cancer than white women regardless of how well-off or poor the women were. The study was published earlier this year in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
