SARASOTA -- The global economic malaise isn't hurting Central European Distribution Corp.

The liquor business, which has its corporate offices in Sarasota, is expecting fourth- quarter net sales of $108.6 million and profits of 60 cents to 62 cents per share.

Both figures are records for CEDC, which operates 30 regional distribution centers throughout Poland. The company is a leading importer of beers, wines and spirits, and one of the largest distributors of domestic vodka.

The company already announced preliminary net sales for the third quarter of about $66.5 million and earnings …
