Driver Rachael Webb wants to start a job-sharing co-op for colleagues who enjoy international work but also want to spend half or part of their life at home.

'I have come into contact with a number of drivers like myself, most of us working for three or four weeks at a stretch and quite often for a different employer each time,' she explained.

'The disadvantages of this arrangement to a temporary driver are: having to live in someone else's "working home"; having to familiarise yourself with a new employer's fuel cards, where the refuelling sites are and what method of payment and procedures for tolls and other expenses are; and what communications methods …
