Florida State and NC State control their destinies but the Wolfpack has two big road games looming (at Maryland and Virginia) before finishing the season against FSU. For the 'Noles, not even this week's game at Wake Forest is a gimme. Champion: NC State

It will come down to Virginia Tech at Miami on December 7 unless someone stumbles along the way. The 'Canes have trouble stopping the run; the Hokies, have virtually no passing game. Don't think those weaknesses can't be schemed by opponents. Champion: Miami

Southern Miss is the league's only unbeaten team, and TCU and Louisville are the only other serious contenders. TCU, which already owns a win over Louisville, can take a huge step forward the title this week with a win over Southern Miss. Champion: TCU

Marshall plays host to Miami (Ohio) on November 12 in a game that likely will decide the East Division champion. Northern Illinois, Bowling Green and Toledo play each other over the next month to decide the West. Championship: Bowling Green over Marshall
