SYDNEY, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - The Australian dollar was firmer from yesterday's close at noon but little changed through the morning.

At 1200 AEDT, the Australian dollar was worth $US0.5550/55 compared with 0.5532/37 at yesterday's close.

The Australian dollar is being held close to the $US0.5550 area through the morning session with talk of option expiries helping to limit the range.

Dealers said the local currency is expected to remain in this tight range through the end of this week and be set for potential moves next week.
