SEOUL, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - Demand for H-shaped steel has risen by 21 per cent, or 325,000 tons, in the civil engineering and construction sectors to September when compared to the same period last year, industry sources said today.
The sources said total demand for the steel product would reach around 2.4 million tons by the end of this year.
Demand for the steel product reached 1.29 million tons in 1999, 1.89 million tons last year and is projected to exceed three million tons in 2007.
