MELBOURNE, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - An earnings per share (EPS) forecast has been released by surf and skatewear group Globe International Ltd (ASX:GLB) after suffering a share price plunge following an earlier profit warning.
Globe chairman Geoff Cousins said he was now in a position to make an EPS forecast in the range of 6.5 cents to eight cents a share (US$0.036 - $0.044) for this year.
Globe shares jumped 10.5 per cent, or six cents, to 63 cents.
The stock tumbled 52 per cent on Monday after the board warned that difficult retail conditions would affect the company's earnings.
Mr Cousins told today's annual general meeting that the figures which prompted Friday's profit warning were unexpected and at variance with the company's budget and other information the board had previously received.
He said the company did not include a full year EPS forecast at that time because the directors did not believe that they were in receipt of sufficient information to make such a forecast.
