Institute of Public Relations director-general Colin Farrington has been invited to sit on the European Union's Corporate Social Responsibility Forum - in a move the IPR believes provides recognition of the importance of PR to CSR.
Farrington joins the forum in his capacity as director-general of CERP, the European PR association.
IPR assistant director and head of marketing and PR Ann Mealor said the appointment would give the PR industry 'an important voice' on CSR issues.
