US-quoted marketing services giant Omnicom has shown a rise in the revenue of its PR businesses despite a continuing slump across the sector.
The group's third quarter figures show a growth of nine per cent in revenue for its global PR businesses, which includes Fishburn Hedges, Ketchum, Countrywide Porter Novelli, Gavin Anderson and Fleishman-Hillard.
The results also show net income up 11 per cent and other sectors such as its customer relationship management businesses performing particularly well. CRM showed a 20.2 per cent growth in revenue.
The overall gain in income is understood to be caused by a re-invigorated US market where sales rose by 19 per cent
