Kia Tigers ace Mark Kiefer will pitch against Choi Won-ho of the LG Twins in the deciding Game 5 of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO)'s playoffs series in Kwangju tonight. From tomorrow, one team will have to clean out their lockers and start their off-season schedule, while the winners will join the Samsung Lions in the Korean Series, which starts Sunday in Taegu.

If statistics are any indication, Kiefer, who topped the wins category in the regular season with 19, maintains a clear upper hand over Choi, who had six wins while posting 11 losses and a 4.41 ERA.

Kiefer recorded a solid 3.34 ERA over 202 1/3 innings, playing a key role in the Tigers' resurgence this season after five years in the KBO wilderness.

In Game 2, Kiefer started the game and held the Twins to a run over 7 2/3 innings as the Tigers evened the Series. Choi Won-ho took the loss in extra innings as a reliever, allowing a game-ending single to Kim Jong-guk.
