SCHRODERS Salomon Smith Barney (SSSB) is being sued in the High Court by a former employee who claims the bank owes him more than GBP500,000.
Thomas See, an investment banker with the firm from 1988 until the end of 2000, is suing for GBP574,000 in unpaid bonuses and salary.
Schroders was bought by its US rival Salomon Smith Barney in March 2000. See, from Newport in Essex, was one of several hundred bankers to lose their jobs in the ake of the merger.
He was one of the few dozen Schroders bankers taken on as a "transitional employee" until the end of that year to ensure a smooth merger.
