AOL Time Warner has been revealed as the most distrusted brand in Europe - just weeks after being accused of artificially inflating its profits.
The unenviable honour was given to the media giant by Forrester Research which has quizzed almost 30,000 consumers across the continent.
"AOL has the highest level of distrust, " states the report. "Of Europeans who recognise the brand 15 per cent express distrust of it."
The study examined consumer awareness and trust of major technology brand names including makers of mobile phones, televisions and computers.
