Hull KR boss Steve Linnane has unveiled his first signing as he starts to reveal The Robins' blueprint for the future.
He has persuaded Kiwi centre Whetu Taewa to take on the role of assistant coach to succeed Des Harrison.
Linnane said the appointment of the former Challenge Cup winner was a big boost to his plans to launch Rovers to glory.
He continued: "I am very happy to have Whetu on board. He has done a good job with the younger players in the academy and scholarship set-ups and he has a great knowledge of the game.
