fnWEB - Bangkok - September 18, 2002 - The value of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Thailand rose from $2.8 billion in 2000 to $3.8 billion in 2001, a report from UNCTAD said.

In 2001 FDI in the whole world dropped 51 per cent from the year before to $735 billion. Overall, FDI in developed countries dropped 59 per cent and FDI in developing countries dropped 14 per cent. In the Asia-Pacific FDI dropped 24 ...
