Thailand and Mexico have agreed to increase bilateral trade and investment and will set up a joint commission to work out ways to achieve the goal.

The resolution was reached at a meeting between Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and Mexican President Vincente Fox in the Mexico City, ahead of the APEC Summit in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Foreign Minister Surakiart Sathirathai said the Foreign Ministries of both sides would accelerate the setting up of the joint panel which will hold its first meeting in Thailand shortly.
