Cast can't save unfunny redneck comedy 'Reno'.(TICKET)(Review)

Are rednecks inherently funnier than other folks on road trips?

"Waking Up in Reno" director Jordan Brady thinks so, because he built an entire movie on that premise.

The result, unfortunately, is just about as funny as it sounds -- i.e., not exactly a laugh riot -- although the irrepressible Billy Bob Thornton as the sleazy owner of a car dealership does manage to get off some laugh- out-loud lines on occasion. The guy has charisma, and great comic timing. He yet again rises above the middlebrow material, and makes the delayed movie worth recommending.

Well, maybe not.
