Patrick Ramsey brings a lot of good things to the table for the Redskins. He can throw the ball down the field, but he can also throw it with touch and accuracy. He's got good size and he brings an unusual toughness that he got from his days at Tulane, where he handled some hits and pops and pretty much showed his savvy for the game.... I think Dave McGinnis is the Coach of the Year at the quarter pole. He has manufactured a 3-2 record with a really overachieving Cardinals team. He's a fiery guy who has his players playing at a higher level. That's a tribute to his ability to motivate his players.... The runner-up for Coach of the Year right now would be Tom Coughlin. Everybody had the Jaguars buried because of their cap situation. But they still had the triangle--quarterback Mark Brunell, running back Fred Taylor and wide receiver Jimmy Smith. They've added another dimension with wideout Patrick Johnson as a deep threat, and they've pieced together their offensive line. On the other side of the ball, the emergence of Marcus Stroud and the dominating play of John Henderson, the rookie, has really made it difficult for people to run the ball on them.... The acquisition of defensive tackle Lional Dalton allowed the Broncos to move Trevor Pryce outside. And Chester McGlockton is playing as well as he has ever played.
