The ubiquitous commercially-operated urban passenger vans have become a preferred mode of transport among long-suffering Bangkok commuters fed up with overcrowded city buses that tend to spend as much time stranded in the traffic as they do actually moving. Commuter vans, which typically have 15 seats, became an instant hit when they appeared on Bangkok streets almost 10 years ago.
