KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6 (Bernama) -- The National Library has attracted more than 6,000 new members during its Reading Month campaign held throughout July, its director Datuk Zawiyah Baba said today.

She said the library now has a total of 517,751 members compared to 511,336 members in June.

She said the increase was a result of continuous efforts taken by various parties, particularly public libraries, in encouraging the society to adopt a reading culture.

"We hope such an effort will go on forever. The campaign was not meant for only one month but to be continued for the rest of the months …
