TALASCO ANNOUNCES THE EMERGENCE OF TAHAN INSURANCE MALAYSIA.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 (Bernama) -- Talasco Insurance Bhd today announced the emergence of a new entity, Tahan Insurance Malaysia Bhd (Tahan), which is the result of a merger of Talasco Insurance with three other established local insurance companies.
The new entity will be officially launched on Sept 16, 2002, said Dr Abdul Razak Abdul, managing director of Talasco's parent company, Idris Hydraulics Malaysia Bhd.
He said Talasco Insurance has formed a new company with People's Insurance Co. (M) Bhd (PICM), Tenaga Insurance Bhd and Malaysia & Nippon Insurans Bhd.
