Internet security vendor Network Associates (NAI) has continued to buck the economic trend by announcing a profit in its third-quarter results.
The firm posted a turnover of $232m for the quarter ended 30 September, compared with $205m the previous year. Profit was $9m, compared with an $11m loss last year.
The Q3 results included $13.6m in deal-related costs and $11.2m in stock-based compensation charges, related to NAI's McAfee.com acquisition earlier this year (CRN, 23 September). The firm also reported that it ended the quarter with $999m in cash and marketable securities.
