By Yoo Cheong-mo Staff reporter In the latest evidence of the mounting economic uncertainties, a majority of chief executives of Korea's leading listed firms were found to have gloomy outlooks about domestic and overseas business conditions in 2003.

According to a survey of CEOs of the 150 largest listed companies in Korea by the Hyundai Research Institute (HRI), 54.9 percent said that the nation's business circumstances in 2003 would remain virtually unchanged from this year. Another 29.4 percent forecast that sales and business conditions would deteriorate further next year.
