The Fall 2005 issue of Colorlines is, overall, very informative and well done. I noticed one small but important bit of misinformation that I am hoping you can correct or clarify in the next issue. On page 14, you feature a chart comparing the Social Security program "the way it is now" next to "if it's privatized." The fifth item under "the way it is now" states, "If you're widowed and left with a child, you get a percentage of your partner's Social Security benefit until the child turns 18." My problem is ...
