A lorry driver punched a masculine-looking woman to stop her going into a female toilet because his wife was inside, a court heard yesterday.

Hau Siu-chor, 42, who pleaded guilty to one count of common assault, was given a two-month jail term, suspended for three years.

Magistrate Ernest Lin Kam-hung heard Hau went to the Neway Karaoke Box in Yau Ma Tei on September 30 with his wife and her friends.

Kowloon City Court was told Hau escorted them to the toilet and waited outside. While he was waiting, Lam Hau-yee tried to enter the washroom.
